Position Summary
Seeking a Tax Director to be responsible for managing all aspects of client relationships with corporate entities and delivery of tax services, including global tax provision, corporate income tax, and tax planning and consulting. This role may include a full outsourcing relationship with clients.
 
Minimum Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree, 8-10 years’ experience at a top public accounting firm, and CPA/J.D. required.
  • Graduate or specialty degree preferred.
  • Technical knowledge of income tax accounting standards and application of ASC 740.
  • Experience with public company financial statement audits.
  • Familiarity with ProSystem fx tax compliance software, One Source Tax Provision, or other comparable resources.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work at client location when needed.
 
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple engagements for clients in various industries, including life sciences, technology, retail, and manufacturing.
  • Manage client relationships.
  • Supervise, motivate, and train engagement team members.
  • Participate and actively contribute to new business development activities.
  • Assist clients with review of the global or domestic interim and year-end tax provision.
  • Assist clients in analysis of tax exposures and prepare/review documentation supporting tax positions and relevant disclosures.
  • Assist clients with preparation/documentation of income tax footnotes and disclosures for quarterly and annual SEC filings.
  • Coordinate and communicate with financial statement auditors as necessary.
  • Oversee client’s tax account reconciliation.
  • Lead and review all federal, foreign, and state tax returns.
  • Assist clients with audits/inquiries by governmental authorities, developing/maintaining tax strategies, and designing/improving/executing SOX tax controls.
  • Drive continuous improvements to the process and methodologies used in the tax department.
  • Assist with other projects as necessary.
