Materials Manager-Denver (suburb of) CO    Simple relocation package available 

Our client is seeking an experienced Material Management professional to manage various global supply chain functions with a strong emphasis on Warehouse and Inventory. 
Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree (required) preferably in business administration or materials management
  • Five+ years of experience overseeing buying and planning functions
  • Warehouse / Distribution / Inventory control experience and success
  • Advanced MS Excel skills
  • Experience in transition from "push" to "pull" planning system
  • ERP/MRP materials management and production planning experience (SAP preferred)
  • Thorough understanding of manufacturing databases, ERP, MRP, and shop floor control.
  • Ability to manage JIT / Kanban Systems
  • APICS and CPM certifications preferred
 
The position will be directly responsible for day to day Planning, Procurement oversight and Warehouse/Logistics processes and improvements.  Responsible for implementing solutions which support operations and meet customer demand and variations while improving our overall supply chain efficiencies.  
 The ideal candidate will have successfully led a larger team (20 or more employees) of Buyers, Planners and warehouse staff.  Preferable oversight of the warehouse activities would have included transportation, export/import, remote distribution centers, warehousing, and heavy inventory accuracy.

  • Planning, Production and implementing activities related to the timely, cost-effective purchasing, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials
  • Creating positive change through strong leadership.
  • Demonstrating continuous improvement activities related to Warehouse and logistics management.
  • Translating production/inventory plans into capacity plans for Manufacturing.
  • Developing efficiencies and improvements related to inventory and warehouse/logistics.
  • Translating production/inventory plans into capacity plans for Manufacturing.
  • Defining, implementing and managing KANBAN tools for the eligible codes, inside the Logistics Mix Model
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.
  • Supplying raw materials, and outside services, as well coordinating global supply efforts.
  • Using MRP to create standard and ad hoc reports
  • Developing strategy and improving supply chain performance to lower total costs,  mitigate risks, and improve customer satisfaction
  • Monitoring performance and preparing quality analysis reports 
  • Ensuring the availability of materials in the supply chain, as scheduled, and the maintenance of inventory at minimum acceptable levels
