Job Description
Under minimal supervision, supports a product or group of products in all aspects of marketing, while supporting management plans to achieve organizational sales goals.

Position Duties and Responsibilities                                                                                                    
- Plans and implements new product introductions including pricing, promotion, training, demonstrations, and literature
- Understands applications, products, systems, and business issues of potential customers
- Provides on-site sales support for key and target customers
- Performs market, industry, and competitor research, and monitors target account activity
- Works to give management information and ideas for increasing sales and market share
- Manages projects in conjunction with Sales, Marketing, Technical Support Group and/or third parties
- Liaison to factory and overseas marketing personnel to define, justify, and coordinate new product development.
- Coordination with Supply Chain Management on sales forecasts, new product introductions, and product phase-out, in an effort to support inventory planning
- Performs other duties as assigned

Travel Requirements
- 20% travel within the Americas and occasionally Japan

Required Skills
- Experience with a wide variety of industrial automation applications.
- Technical knowledge of industrial automation products, including one or more of the following: Servo and Motion, PLC, HMI, CNC, Variable Frequency Drives and Various Industrial Networks
- Strong writing skills.
- Strong oral and formal presentation skills.
- Good organizational skills
- Computer Skills / Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)/SAP/CRM

Required Experience
BS in Engineering or equivalent experience
5+ years' experience in industrial automation sales, marketing, and/or applications engineering.

Beneficial Experience
- Experience in Japanese business culture environment
- Excellent interpersonal skills and presence to deal effectively with internal and external customers
