Job Description
We are looking for a Sr. Network Administrator who will implement, manage and maintain data communications network and associated peripherals. Provide technical support for the Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network and supports other IT personnel. Will maintain the integrity and security of the data communications network. 
Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Configuring, managing and maintaining the servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and other LAN/WLAN/WAN devices to ensure maximum availability and security
  • Analyzing and determining business needs for current computer and network systems technologies, vendor offerings, budget requirements, and develops solutions to ensure the highest level of satisfaction
  • Maintaining standards for the wiring infrastructure, equipment, security, vendors, routing protocols, platforms, and applications
  • Contributing to the planning, direction, and technical expertise regarding computer,
  • network, resources, and services for LAN's, WLAN's, and WAN's and the world-wide Internet
  • Serving as a technical resource and technical escalation point in regards to the network, IT staff and associated issues
  • Acting as Project Manager for hardware and software information technology projects and ensuring projects are completed within budget and on-time. Coordinating with other resources, departments, organizations and agencies as required
  • Maintaining the integrity of the security of the network including remote access, password access, file access, intruder access, and protection against malware
  • Performing user analysis, troubleshooting problems, and following through to resolution
  • Developing and maintaining documentation of network infrastructure
  • Provides mentoring of other IT staff.
  • Escalating problems and issues to management or vendors as needed
  • Providing consulting services at the highest technical level for home office and remote employees
  • Perform other assigned duties as may be required in meeting company objectives
  • Communicate effectively with other departments within the organization and function within a team environment.
  • Other tasks may include but not limited to:
    • setup and maintain employee desktop and portable computers
    • manage computer and peripheral spare parts
    • use vendor resources and skills to troubleshoot and repair computers
    • create new users in the file server and e-mail server
    • install necessary software
    • provide initial training for new users
    • create and maintain detailed knowledge base
    • procedures: follow existing ones, suggest improvements, and create new ones as needed
    • maintain patches and hotfixes for operating systems and applications
Education & Experience:
•    Associates degree in Computer Science (BS preferred) and/or equivalent technical certification with a minimum of 3-5 years of Information Technology work experience in a LAN/WAN environment.  Industry recognized technical certification such as a Cisco CCNA or Microsoft MCSE preferred but not required.
•    Strong interpersonal and communications skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse community
•    Working knowledge of networking concepts, Routing/Switching, Operating System technologies, Security, IP, advanced protocols and the Internet
•    Systems knowledge, architecting/design skills, documentation and methodical problem-solving skills
•    Must be customer service oriented
•    Excellent verbal, telephone, and written etiquette
•    Proven ability to follow instructions, work under supervision, and multi-task
•    Effective and efficient troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
•    Must be reliable and possess good organizational skills Ability to lift, move and inspect computer terminals, servers, switches, routers, printers and related equipment
•    Ability to enter and access information from a computer
•    Capable of sitting for prolonged periods of time at a computer screen
•    Ability to access all areas of the department with data processing or communication equipment
•    Ability to operate general office equipment such as computers, copiers, fax, etc.
•    Works in office conditions but may be required to visit other department locations with data processing and related communication equipment
