Sr. Manager Corporate Sanitation – Food or Bev or Dairy Experience -- $96--120,000+ plus bonus – 40-60% Travel
Location is Springfield, MO. Paid relocation.
This is a new high visibility role with a national, multi-site company food /bev company. This position will focus
on the dairy division.
The Sr. Manager of Corporate Sanitation:
Will ultimately have 3 Corporate Sanitation Managers reporting to it. We have two of those in place already. Will be hiring the 3
one after we fill this role.
Is based in Springfield where corporate QA is located.
Travel is 40-60%. 80% of the travel will be planned vs. situational. Will be able to control their travel schedule to a significant degree.
Focus of roles are to be a resource for the plant level sanitation teams and help them with sanitation issues, verification and validation of processes, ensure appropriate procedures/processes are in place/improve processes, conduct internal audits, assist with 3
party audits and post audit reviews, resource for SQF and also FSMA, be a resource for external vendors such as EcoLab (chemicals). \
Experience Requirements for the Corporate Sanitation Sr. Manager:
Bachelors required preferably in a related field
5 years’ experience in food plant operations/sanitation. Ideally, dairy industry.
3 years of management/supervisory experience required
Experience managing chemical vendors (they use EcoLab quite a bit)
Experience with 3
party audits/customer audits, and internal audits
Strong knowledge/experience in CIP, COP, experience setting up master sanitation schedules, experience with SQF and knowledge of upcoming FSMA requirements
Experience with sanitation verification programs
In the areas of Sanitation and Pest Control, provide support and direction to the Corporate Managers of Sanitation as well as manufacturing plant Sanitarians. This includes training and education to company and regulatory policies and programs, guidance in mitigation situations, and communication of activities goals and projects.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Working cross functionally and collaboratively with Operations (Corporate and Plant), Corporate QA, and Chemical Supply Vendors, develop, implement and continuously improve on sanitation programs, policies, and key performance indicators (KPI’s)
Manage Chemical Supplier
Review all plant monthly sanitation service reports for outstanding action items requiring corrective action. Ensure monthly meetings are held with the Chemical Supply company to ensure closure of all action items. Include plant and operations team members as needed
Engage supplier as needed to assist with mitigation activities
Evaluate current and new chemicals and sanitation tools and provide feedback and recommendation for use
Participate in annual vendor survey, ensure plant participation, and communicate results
Ensure new plant Sanitarians complete Sanitation University training and outline on-going refresher training on products and use
Create and deliver education and technical support to ensure effective deployment and implementation of corporate sanitation and food safety policies and procedures
Ensure that manufacturing facilities have the systems, knowledge, capabilities, and practices to comply with all pertinent food regulations and company procedures with respect to sanitation
Conduct periodic sanitation audits against the consistent application and execution of procedures and all related sanitation practices. Ensure CAPA’s are created and closed out
Manage Sanitation Verification Programs
Provide standardized procedures, testing, and data management programs ( ATP, Zone 1 microbial testing)
Ensure trending and action items as needed
Monitor emerging issues related to sanitation, pest control, and food safety and develop strategies and policies accordingly. Ensure sanitation goals and objectives are clearly defined and current for each facility
Ensure all corporate SSOP’s are current and annually reviewed. Assist plants with creation of their SSOP’s. Provide technical support and advise Operations management on effectiveness of plant sanitation and cleaning programs (SSOP’s)
Guide manufacturing facilities during special plant sanitation issues including microbiological and environmental control
Assist in plant startup activities that will include reviewing SSOP documentation and cleaning verification documents. Participate in new plant design and ensure engineering standards are met
Work with plants to ensure the automated cleaning systems are validated annually and automated cleaning circuits (CIP) are verified for effective cleaning
