Job Description
The Senior Accountant will support the SEC reporting process including preparation of quarterly 10-Qs and 8-Ks for earnings release along with assisting in preparation of the 10K and annual report.  The position reports to the Manager of Corporate Accounting, External Reporting and will have significant interaction with the Corporate Accounting & Consolidation, FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Divisional Finance, Investor Relations, Corporate Communications and Legal teams. This role is highly visible to Corporate Accounting senior leadership (including the Corporate Controller).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to:
  • Assist with the planning, preparation and issuance of periodic SEC reporting documents including earning releases, Forms 10-Q, 10-K, 8-K and Annual Report.
  • Assist in preparation of financial statement disclosures, ensuring they are supported with clear and well-organized documentation by maintaining supporting schedules and interfacing with external auditors and internal contacts.
  • Manage the distribution of drafts of the Form 10-K and 10-Q to various internal and external parties, including drafting emails, accumulating comments received from those parties, and inputting these changes into the various drafts.
  • Assist in collaborative preparation of quarterly earnings materials including executive scripts, presentations and other public materials by working directly with Investor Relations and Corporate Communications teams and ensuring accuracy and consistency with our SEC filings.
  • Manage preparation and review of XBRL mapping and tagging of financial statements and footnote disclosures included in quarterly and annual filings with the SEC, using an industry leading tool.
  • Work with external auditors and internal contacts to ensure the accuracy and timely completion of SOX documentation, risk matrices and test plans for related cycles.
  • Assist in researching accounting matters, review and research competitor disclosures, comment letters and disclosure trends, and analyze the impact to the financial statements along with other special projects, research, and analyses, as required.
  • Quickly respond to ad hoc queries from internal customers (including Senior Management)
 
Basic Requirements:
3-6 years technical accounting experience required, previous public company exposure required. CPA or CPA candidate preferred. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
