Experienced Sales Engineer needed for established and innovative software engineering and product development company within the Industrial Automation sector. They are an international company with sales and operational activities in more than 20 countries that develops HMI equipment and software for rugged, handheld, marine, and other environments. Northeast territory includes: MI, OH, PA, MD, DE, NJ, NY, CT, MA, RI, NH, VT, and ME and the Sales Engineer can live anywhere in this territory near a major airport.

Reach allotted revenue and profit goals.
Attend to existing and prospective customers in the region.
Develop distribution and alternate sales channels as appropriate.
Establish pricing models for direct customers.
Develop sales and pricing strategies to maximize revenues.
Analyze and prepare forecasts and estimates for account(s) revenue.
Gather and communicate market feedback.
Assist with global accounts within the region.
Prepare reports for Senior Management as needed.
Maintain professional knowledge of customers, technologies, and products.
Participate in industry events as required.
Demonstrable history of success in complex sales environments with potential long sales cycles
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience selling to all levels within an organization including engineering, C-level, and admin
Ability to understand and communicate with engineers
Ability to prospect, generate and develop new business
Willingness to travel 50%+ of the time
Unrivaled customer service and interpersonal skills
Proven organizational skills to manage a portfolio of clients
Fantastic presentation skills
Proficient in use of associated technologies, including web, phone, automobile and personal computers
Five years of complex sales experience including preparation/presentation of written proposals, contract negotiations and presentation of products is preferred.
Five years’ experience in OEM, industrial automation, electronics, computer or technology related sales.
Worked in an independent sales environment and exemplified self motivation
Four year degree in Business, Engineering or related field strongly preferred.
