Production Supervisor – Second Shift
Marion, OH
Salary up to 55K + paid overtime


Manufacturer is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee the manufacturing operations on second shift.  You will report daily to the Production Manager and will work with two other Production Supervisors on the shift.  Daily you will oversee productivity, quality, safety, and your shift’s performance.  Responsibilities will include:
 
  • Overseeing production and monitoring KPIs
  • Mentoring and coaching the hourly workforce
  • Partnering with maintenance on equipment issues and downtime
  • Performing quality checks
  • Confirming payroll and time cards
  • Improving the manufacturing process
  • Administering team meetings
  • Other duties as directed by management  
 
Candidates should feel comfortable being on the floor up to 75% of their day.  This position will train on days and then move to second shift.  Candidates will have promotional opportunity in the future.  Candidates should have strong leadership abilities, be able to work independently, enjoy making process improvements and coaching the current staff.  This is a salary position with overtime opportunities and competitive benefits!

Requirements for the Production Supervisor – second shift:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma or a GED
  • At least 3-5 years of production supervision experience
  • Experience overseeing at least 20-25 individuals
  • Experience working in mass production environments
  • A strong process improvement background
  • Willingness to work second shift long term
  • Basic computer skills, including Windows environments and Microsoft Office Word and Excel
Skills preferred, but not required:
  • Kronos timekeeping
  • Experience overseeing a union workforce
  • Basic mechanical troubleshooting
