Plant IT Manager Summary:
The Information Technology Manager is responsible for providing overall leadership required to protect the company's data, tools and information systems. 
 

Plant IT Manager Responsibilities: 
  • Define, develop and implement a department strategy.
  • Deliver IT services in line with business requirements to internal customers, standardize platforms, etc.
  • Establish and provide the best solution for the integration between Industrial processes and IT applications.
  • Manage and set priorities for the operations of all technology systems, including physical & virtual servers, networking, storage, database systems and physical infrastructure.
  • Responsible for managing the IT aspect of new programs/launches and support the current operations with ERP Support, MES, EDI, etc.
  • Manage operational costs while continually improving performance for price metrics in accordance with technology advancements and operations.
  • Develop and maintain robust security systems and procedures.
  • Provide the team with strategic security guidance over annual SOX processes.
  • Ensure that an annual self-assessment on mandatory controls is performed.
  • Maintains appropriate confidentiality regarding the information being processed, stored or accessed by the end-users on the network.
  • Perform IT risk and security assessments and develop information security testing programs.
  • Manage/interface customer system when applicable.
  • Develops, implements  and updates IT policies and procedures for the plant to ensure proper documentation to set standards and customer specifications.
  • Assists with continuous improvement activities.
  • Develops and conducts various training and instruction for new and existing associates on company technology with the goal of maximizing user efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Responsible to provide a budget for new projects based on the information shared from the program team. 
  • All systems will be implemented in accordance with the process, procedures, current systems and best practices.
  • This function will interact directly with plant staff such as program manager, VAA team, etc establishing the planning and coordination to ensure that any new systems will be implemented in accordance to process mapping and previously established requirements.
 
 
Education/Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Management.
  • Experience in manufacturing facility required. 
  • Five – Seven years in an IT (e.g., Server, Network, shop-floor systems) role.
  • Strong working and technical knowledge of systems administration, networking, systems and network security.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Knowledge in Manufacturing Industrial Process.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to plan ahead.
  • Experience in industrial / process engineering environment with exposure to process manufacturing systems and/or assembly systems and sequencing systems, JIT/JIS.
  • Experience with EDI.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language. 
  • Excellent problem solving skills.
