TITLE: Manager, Credentialing Verification Office
LOCATION: East of Columbus, Ohio
Are you considering a career change?
Looking for a smaller community(25K population), that offers a low cost of living(18% lower than US average) and plenty of activities in the area but is within an hour of a large city.
If so, an opportunity to work with an integrated health care system based in east central Ohio is looking for someone to join their team.
The system is a not-for-profit and has over 300 physicians and multiple outpatient care centers throughout the area.
The system is the largest provider in a six county region and a primary referral center.
It offers a higher level of service than what is typically found in a community of its size including open-heart surgery, trauma care, a Level II neonatal intermediate care unit, neurosurgery and
comprehensive cancer services.

Oversees the operations of Healthcare System’s Credentialing Verification Office (CVO) to develop, manage and monitor processes and procedures that support the credentialing, reappointment, expirables data management, and delegated credentialing contract processes.
Ensures compliance with the appropriate accrediting and regulatory agencies.
Supervises credentialing staff in the day-to-day management of the overall CVO credentialing process and database management.
Works with Hospital Administration and the Medical Staff Leadership in managing and coordinating credentialing administrative support and provides resources needed to fulfill their duties and obligations as defined by national regulatory agencies and the Medical Staff bylaws, rules and regulations as delegated by the hospital’s Board of Directors.
Bachelors Degree required
Three (3) years of credentialing experience required
Knowledge of HFAP, NCQA, JCAHO, CMS, and other accreditation standards as they relate to credentials verification, enrollment and medical staff operations required.
4 direct reports - potential for department growth in future
Hours will vary depending upon meeting schedules
Attending some medical staff committee meetings expected
Experience and confidence in dealing face to face with physicians
Self-directed schedule within workload parameters
The position is offering between 46K-64K. The position offers relocation and a great benefit package.
