Job Description
The Human Resources/EHS Manager will work with the leadership team and supports the business strategy with specific focus on maximizing organizational capability, creating a high performance,and engaged culture. 

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with the  Sr. HR Manager to drive core HR processes across the organization including talent acquisition, on-boarding, performance management, rewards & recognition, employee engagement, employee and leadership development, succession planning and employee communications.
  •  Executes workforce plan and direction to ensure appropriate staffing levels; proactively works with external firms/agencies to prepare for future vacancies & manages talent acquisition processes for all positions. 
  • With the Sr. HR Manager manages and supports annual goal setting of performance metrics and cascading, performance monitoring and assessment and reward processes.
  • Partners with leaders to track metrics, ensuring consistency of performance ratings, calibration review and addressing performance concerns.
  • Collaborates with leadership in upgrading the skills and capabilities of employees through identification, development and retention of talent.
  • Drives talent review and management processes including succession planning for key leader roles.
  • Ensures compliance with legislative requirements and employment laws including an Affirmative Action Plan.
  • Conduct investigations and advises leaders in the appropriate resolution of employee related issues.
  • Manages and interprets policies and practices within the facilities, ensuring fair and consistent interpretation and application.
  • Improves EHS workplace performance by promoting an incident-free work place, identifying and mitigating EHS risk, and implementing safety and environmental management systems in accordance with regulations, corporate compliance policies, and ISO standards.
  • Determine and direct necessary environmental and safety training for employees and ensure compliance and understanding.
  • Guide and direct assigned business units toward compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations, and corporate compliance policies.
  • Conduct inspections and audits throughout the entire manufacturing facility to identify existing or potential hazards and determine corrective or preventive measures.
  • Administer initial Workers Compensation functions for the assigned business unit 
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local OSHA regulations, safety codes and environmental quality regulations
  • Conduct JSAs (safety risk assessments) as needed.
  • Manage Medical First Responders Team.
  • Maintain and manage Department of Transportation (DOT) / CDL driver files, medical physical cards, and applicable training.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor degree in HR or Business
  • PHR, SPHR Ceritfied
  • 7-10 yrs experience in a manufacturing environment
