Job summary of the Digital Hardware Engineer - Autonomous Driving:

Electrical Design Engineer with a good background in analog and digital electronics is required to play a vital role in the development of the schematics and BOMs for the Intel x86 and NVIDIA hardware based products. Our this client is a well-established developer of autonomous driving technology. If you have experience with high speed digital design in electronics and communication protocol, then this position is well suited to you.

Responsibilities of the Digital Hardware Engineer - Autonomous Driving:
  • Work with other engineers team such as Mechanical, Validation, Layout, software etc. for design and development.
  • Knowledge transfer about technology by working with external design and manufacturing companies.
  • Design and debug the investigations and support development, maintenance, failure analysis, and resolution activities.
  • Record and maintain the documents such as block diagrams, schematics, manuals, BOMs, and test plans.
  • Work With ECAD team to develop a board layout compliant with Manufacturing and EMC requirements.
  • Perform Worst Case, Monte Carlo, Stress/Thermal analysis
  • Manage and Release BOM’s
  • Work with Product Assurance team to develop Test requirements
  • Schematic capture using Altium

Qualifications of the Digital Hardware Engineer - Autonomous Driving:
  • Bachelors degree in Science or equivalent.
  • Practical experience with analog/digital electronics such as : RF, analog, digital, audio, video, power, electromechanical, low power, charging, touch display, and sensors
  • MUST HAVE experience with high-speed circuits for x86 and/or machine learning/deep learning/computer vision GPU based architectures
  • MUST HAVE experience with high speed digital design, signal integrity, PCB layout, RF/EMI/EMC/ESD mitigation techniques, simulation and power distribution techniques of modern processors
  • Experience in implementing high speed serial buses such as NVME, PCIe, SATA, USB, MIPI and parallel  buses such as memory bus - DDR2/x etc.
  • Experience in implementation of communication protocol such as SPI, I2C, TCP, UDP, etc.
  • Experience with Signal and Power Integrity simulation, testing and validating motherboards in the laboratory.

Compensation of the Digital Hardware Engineer - Autonomous Driving:
Salary Range:  $90,000-120,000/year depending on experience 

Location: Southeast MI
Type:  Direct
Travel:  As and when required
