Job Description
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage an effective overall EH&S program to protect personnel, equipment, and facility
  • Interpret, recommend, and comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations and/or company policies
  • Assist in planning for changes in physical facilities to meet current and new environment requirements
  • Act as the facility Safety Officer
  • Manage the Hazardous Materials Program including maintaining an accurate inventory, ensuring proper storage, and scheduling/documenting hazardous waste shipments
  • Organize and equip spill-control teams
  • Write and update environmental policies, manuals, and procedures
  • Develop and facilitate EH&S training as required to comply with regulations
  • Coordinate accident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and all required documentation
  • Collaborate with outside medical/health providers
  • Prepare environmental impact statements and apply for all renewals and new permits
  • Work with Senior Leadership Team on site security
  • Create EH&S metrics that measure status and drive improvement
  • Fully support 5S programs 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with concentration in one of the following areas:  Occupational Health, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or similar degree programs (i.e. Biology, Chemistry)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and compliance
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including team building, meeting facilitation, and collaborative problem solving/ decision making
  • Coursework specific to OSHA regulations and compliance


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • Previous EH&S auditing experience
  • 8+ years of professional experience in areas of environmental, health and safety management in a manufacturing environment
