We are seeking an Electrical Engineer for our manufacturing client in Mayfield, Ohio.
Designs, generates and maintains electrical drawings, bills of materials, etc. for use in the manufacture of products and systems by performing the following duties:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING. OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED:
Design electrical systems to current or OEM regulations, size and package components for power distribution, software programming of PLC’s, VFD’s and IO structures, etc.
Maintain schedules on backlog report by working with Design Engineers on all customer specifications.
Maintain working knowledge of UL-CUL-CSA-CE-NFPA-IEC-NFPA-NEC and OSHA regulations as they apply to product line and customer site of installation.
Maintain customer relationships and trust in technical ability to adapt to their changing technologies, interfaces and software as they impact product line. Keep OEM specific requirements and specifications current and organized.
Work with OEM, Sales, Parts and Applications support both at MFA, TMF and MFE on all past and present products.
Develop standard MTP design modules to decrease inventory, SKU’s and timelines.
Creation and documentation of Shop Standard Practices and Processes.
Execute big projects within estimated cost without major countermeasure of additional cost.
Evaluate and source options for obsolete components.
Working knowledge of Risk Assessment issues.
Support Quality, OEM and Service for past and present products.
Participate in and drive Value Engineering projects.
Develop vendor relationships and maintain cost structures for components and outside build requirements. Maintain quoting structures for same.
New product development (i.e. solid-state controls, MT Connect, etc.).
Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree and one to three years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
MS Office applications. AutoCAD, PLC Programming.
