Job Description
    Responsible for assisting the Vice President of Guest Development in overseeing the production and booking of all entertainment venues, including two lounges, a 2,000-seat events center and a 2,000-seat outdoor lawn event center.
    QUALIFICATIONS: (Include equipment knowledge/use)
    • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must be able to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
    • Must be able to mange all talent buying including contract negotiations
    • Must be able to develop and implement an entertainment strategy and operational budget
    • Must possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills and be proficient in communicating in verbal and written formats to effectively interface with guests, Team Members and negotiate contracts
    • Excellent typing, organizing, presenting information
    • Must be proficient in MS Work, Excel or some similar application
    • Should read, write, speak and understand English
    • High School diploma or GED required, Degree preferred
    • Minimum three years prior entertainment experience in leading, planning and coordinating in a senior level capacity at a casino hotel
    • Any combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Responsible for the evaluation and wage increases of Team Member in the Entertainment Department
  • Assist the Vice President of Guest Development in regards to entertainment
  • Assist with entertainment plan and yearly budgets
  • Assist in planning and coordination of profitable events designed to stimulate frequent return of high quality guest
  • Assist in planning, booking and coordination of entertainment in the casino, lounges, special events room and outdoor venue
  • Continually seek unique and innovative methods to expand entertainment
  • Work with Coordinator to refine and improve entertainment, and reduce department’s operating costs
  • Maintain highest degree of organizational skills with ability to prioritize to meet deadlines
  • Communicate deadlines to staff involved in the event, while utilizing the utmost tact and diplomacy
  • Understand the fundamentals of purchasing and get competitive bids from vendors to ensure the lowest bid with the highest quality service and products
  • Develop a rapport with preferred guests
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and safety procedures
  • Tack and maintain inventories, compile monthly reports, proformas each event and rack results
  • Negotiate entertainment contracts
  • Ensure all administrative functions within the department are handles efficiently, effectively and smoothly
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures
  • Prepare proformas before and after each event to track profitability
  • Provide excellent communications to all Team Members
  • Ensure entertainment event records are kept current
  • Keep abreast of competitors entertainment and their effectiveness
  • Supervisory Responsibilities:
    • Directly supervise six employees in Guest Development
    • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
    • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
